Wedderburn is home to the largest and best known koala colony in the Sydney region.

The greatest threats to these koalas are:

• loss of habitat
• motor vehicles
• dogs
• stress
• introduced barriers to breeding migration patterns

The Campbelltown Council's plan to allow the population of Wedderburn to double would intensify all of these threats
