The BTP Youth Theatre Group was officially formed in 1999, to provide theatre workshops for the Youth of the area on alternate Saturday afternoons.

The enthusiasm of this group has grown so much that we have incorporated annual club nights, and a major production every two years, into BTP's program.

With major support from the Eurobodalla Shire Council, BTP members, business houses of the area, and of course the parents , the Youth Group has gone from strength to strength

The group operates in three age groups, on Saturday afternoons during school terms.

Our first major production was "A Kidsummer Nights Dream" in 2000, and in 2001 the group presented "Young Performers 2001" which grew from a club night to a 2 1/2 hour marathon.!

Then in June of 2002 the older members scooped the pool at the Canberra One-Act Play Festival, winning Four awards and being nominated for two more

For 2002 the group performed "Alice in Wonderland", which attracted

adoring capacity audiences, was nominated for 7 CATS awards, and won that for Best Technical Achievement!

The young actors have just presented "Young Performers 2003", and are at present performing the musical "BATS" .
